A. Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily enter into the app, including:

  • Orientation statements

  • Weekly grounding statements

  • Journal entries

  • Practice session history

  • Account email address (if you create an account)

We recommend that users avoid entering sensitive personal information into journal fields.

 

B. Automatically Generated Practice Data

When you use the app, we store:

  • Session timestamps

  • Practice completion state

  • Generated SVG visualization data

  • Internal identifiers for sessions and journal entries

This information supports continuity and history within your account.

 

C. Authentication Information

If you sign in using:

  • Email and password

  • Google Sign-In

  • Apple Sign-In

We store your email address and a unique user identifier through Firebase Authentication.

Anonymous accounts may be created for local use before sign-in.

D. Limited Automated Processing (LLM)

​

When generating reflection pairs or optional grounding phrase suggestions:

  • Only your orientation statement may be processed

  • Journal entries are NOT sent for automated processing

  • Input length is capped

  • No sensitive data is intentionally requested

Processing is handled through secure backend services.

E. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect:

  • Health data

  • Biometric data

  • Precise location data

  • Contacts

  • Photos

  • Microphone recordings

  • Advertising identifiers

  • Background device tracking data

We do not sell personal data.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Generate and store weekly grounding statements

  • Save journal entries

  • Maintain practice history

  • Provide authentication

  • Improve phrase and reflection selection logic

  • Maintain app stability and performance

We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers:

Firebase (Google)

Used for:

  • Authentication

  • Cloud storage (Firestore)

  • Secure backend functions

Firebase processes data under its own privacy policy.

OpenAI (via secure backend)

Used only for:

  • Generating reflection pairs

  • Suggesting grounding phrases

Only orientation statements are processed. Journal content is not transmitted for automated processing.

Algolia

Used for searching phrase libraries.

These providers process data only to provide services on our behalf.

​

5. Offline Mode and Local Storage

The app supports offline practice.

When offline:

  • Data is stored locally on your device

  • It syncs to cloud storage when internet access is restored and you are signed in

If you choose "Continue without signing in," data remains in local mode unless you later sign in.

6. Data Retention

We retain user data:

  • For as long as your account is active

  • Until you request deletion

Local-only data remains on your device unless removed by account deletion or app uninstall.

7. Data Deletion

You may delete your data at any time by:

  • Using “Delete account and data” inside the app

Deletion permanently removes:

  • Account credentials

  • Orientation statements

  • Journal entries

  • Practice history

Deletion cannot be undone.

8. Data Security

We use:

  • Secure HTTPS transmission

  • Firebase cloud infrastructure

  • Access-controlled backend functions

While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

9. Children’s Privacy

This app is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

If you use the app outside your home country, your data may be processed in regions where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time.
Updates will be reflected with a new “Last updated” date.
