In the WombWisdomOracle series, I confront the historical erasure of the sacred feminine from socio-religious narratives shaped by patriarchal systems such as Islam and Christianity. This body of work challenges the exclusive portrayal of male figures as divine and questions the long-standing dichotomy in these traditions that frames sexuality as incompatible with spirituality.

Set against the backdrop of Iran’s deeply traditional and religious society, the series explores the re-emergence of the sacred feminine. I juxtapose visual elements from the “old world”—including Persian miniatures depicting mosques, ayatollahs, bazaars, male prophets, and mythological figures—with hyperrealistic, contemporary portraits of women. These women embody the divine feminine in its full presence—sensual, sovereign, and spiritually whole.

Through this visual dialogue, the work reclaims space for feminine wisdom, redefines the image of divinity, and initiates a conversation around embodiment, power, and cultural transformation.
